Andy Giessman - Lead Pastor
Andy is the Lead Pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Scranton, PA. Along with being a student of the Bible, Andy is also a student of his culture to know how best to communicate the Truth to a world that desperately needs it. With the rest of the pastoral team, he helps plan outreach community events, cast vision, and strategize to claim Scranton for Christ!
Somehow Andy convinced Becky to marry him in June 1993. Andy and Becky have been in full time ministry since 1997. Their ministry experience includes working with college and high school students. God led Andy and Becky to New Life in May of 2004 and they have never looked back!
Andy earned a B.S. in Bible 2000 and graduated with a Master of Ministry degree from Baptist Bible Seminary in May 2007. In his spare time he enjoys studying history and is in an endless search for the perfect big sandwich (hoagie, sub, grinder, etc.) and the ultimate buffalo wing.
Jake Cutting - Pastor
Pastor Jake has been working with New Life since it wasn’t even a church - just basically a ministry to the projects with a random VBS! He’s done huge amounts of work helping us to grow to where we are. Currently, Jake oversees some of the details of our Sunday Morning ministries at New Life and teaches in our Bible Institute. Unfortunately, he and his wife Shannon will be leaving us this fall in order to continue his seminary education. We will miss them and thier ministry among our body!
Dan Price - Pastor
Hey everyone! My name is Dan Price. I’m one of the pastors at New Life Baptist. I’ve been a pastor here for about four and a half years, during which time I’ve been able to see God do some amazing things in transforming people’s lives. My specific areas of ministry include: ministries to teens, leading worship and technical worship arts, as well as many administrative types of roles. God has recently blessed me with a wonderful wife, Megan and we are excited about how God is going to use our church body to help more people come to worship Christ. Thanks for checking us out!

Dr. Mike Stallard - Pastor
“Dr. Mike” is the founding pastor of New Life. He now serves on the pastoral staff and has a passion for teaching the Bible clearly and for reaching inner city kids for Christ. Among other ministries, he provides leadership for the New Life Bible Institute and Mission Scranton, an outreach ministry to low income housing projects.
