andy giessman/lead pastor
Andy is the Lead pastor here at New Life. Along with being a student of the Bible, he is also a student of his culture to know how best to communicate the Truth to a world that desperately needs it. With the rest of the pastoral team, Andy helps plan outreach community events, cast vision, and strategize to claim Scranton for Christ!
Somehow Andy convinced Becky to marry him in June 1993, he and Becky have been in full time ministry since 1997. Their ministry experience includes working with college and high school students, speaking in camps, retreats, youth groups, churches and colleges across the United States. God led the Giessmans to New Life in May of 2004 and they have never looked back!
In his spare time Andy enjoys studying history, philosophy, and the classics and is in an endless search for the perfect big sandwich (hoagie, sub, grinder, etc.) and the ultimate buffalo wing.
Andy has earned two masters degrees including an MA in Philosophy. He is currently enrolled in the "Engaging Mind and Culture" D.Min track at Talbot School of Theology
